This week we introduced updates and new features to nearly all of our diaper bags! It’s been a very busy and exciting time for us! Our Duo, Dash and Double now all have the “Deluxe” suffix, and these bags feature dozens of updates including all new magnetic closures, soft removable shoulder pads and more. We also introduced an amazing new bag called the Via Messenger, which is by far the most functional bag we’ve ever designed.
We’ll cover more details on all of these updates on upcoming blog entries but the first thing I want to tell you about is our new Shuttle Clips. These patent pending clips took us 18 months to design and develop – we went through nearly a half dozen designs, compete with extensive consumer testing, tooled and re-tooled, and perfected what we believe are the ultimate stroller clips. Skip Hop was originally known for our diaper bags that worked as both a stroller bag AND a messenger style shoulder bag. In fact, we pioneered that entire concept, so we were really driven to take it to the next level.
Our innovative Shuttle Clip design - a completely new type of stroller attachment clip system - is the culmination of everything we know about stroller attachments for diaper bags. It’s an amazing and unique clip that allows both the stroller straps and the shoulder strap to be attached at the same time. You can leave the shoulder strap on or take it off when attaching our new bags to the stroller. You can leave the stroller straps attached or disengage when using as a messenger bag. And the streamlined clips do all of this in a great, sleek, non-bulky design. There are basically two different receptacles on the clip –one for the shoulder strap and the other for the stroller straps. With different types of release mechanisms – side release for the shoulder strap and center for the stroller straps – it’s a cinch to engage and release both. And now there’s absolutely no fumbling around when changing the bag from stroller to shoulder and back again!
The innovative Shuttle Clip allows our bags to attach to the stroller in a snap!
